The SCCT Chapter is participating in the
Greater New Haven United Way and Town of
Branford Touch a Truck and Diaper Drive on
Saturday September 13 from 10-2pm at
Branford High School. Two volunteers are
needed to help distribute kits to families
and hand out preparedness information.

Southern
New England's Premiere Haunted Happening
It’s back!
Volunteers are needed to play characters in
this scary, outdoor haunted happening running from
Friday October 3rd through November 1st in PNA Park
in Wallingford. Visit

We are looking for volunteers
interested in forming a committee to
help us meet and grow our services
to veterans, members of the armed
forces, and their families. It is a
core mission of Red Cross with a
long and proud history since our
founding by Civil War nurse Clara
Barton in 1881. If you are

Deployment of ERV and Volunteers to Assist
with Gustav |
|
John Glendon of Cheshire and Russ Styles of
Wallingford have deployed to Alabama via the
Emergency Response Vehicle to assist with
potential effects of tropical storm Gustav.
Both volunteers will be delivering the ERV
to Montgomery, Alabama and assist in mass
feeding assignments. The Charter Oak Chapter
has also deployed volunteers, materials and
vehicles to assist with the operation.

Volunteer Circle Meeting Scheduled for
September |

The Volunteer Circle will meet on
Wednesday September 17 at the
Chapter House at 6pm. We will be
celebrating National Preparedness
Month. More details to come soon. Please
RSVP by September 15. Light
refreshments will be served. All
registered volunteers are welcome to

annual Dinner Theatre to benefit the
Wallingford/Meriden branch office.
