Medical Transportation

Our Food Pantry is located at the Wallingford/Meriden office at 144 South Main St. in Wallingford.  Wallingford residents who need this assistance should register by presenting a photo ID, as well as proof of residency in Wallingford (such as a current utility bill showing their name and address.) Qualified clients are then eligible to receive bags of non-perishable food every 30 days.

Last year, 331 Wallingford families were served a total of over 6,000 bags of food. Nearly all of the food distributed from here comes from donations.

The Food Pantry is open Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information, contact the Community Services Coordinator @ 203-265-6721.

The Medical Transportation program based at the Wallingford/Meriden office is limited to residents of Meriden and Wallingford who have no other means of transportation to get to their medical appointments outside of their home town. Dental or therapy appointments are not eligible. Riders must be able to get in and out of a car by themselves, and wear a seat belt. All of the vehicles used are Red Cross insured and identifiable.

Last year, our group of over thirty volunteer drivers drove 174 individuals for a total of 1,085 trips. There is no fee for this service. However, any and all donations are welcomed. For more information, contact the Community Services Coordinator @ 203-265-6721.
